
Scott Shannon

Legendary broadcaster Scott Shannon is the Program Director and host of the innovative True Oldies Channel.
In 2003, he was inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Radio Hall of Fame. Recently, his peers in the radio business named him the "Most Influential Programmer of the Past 20 Years," according to a special survey conducted by the trade publication Radio & Records. He is also in the Radio & Records DJ Hall of Fame.

He has received many awards, including Billboard Magazine's "Air Personality of the Year" in 1988, 1993, 1994, and 1995, 1996, and 1997 and Program Director of the Year in 1989, 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1997. Scott hosted the Rocking American Top 30 Countdown from 1985 to1991 heard on nearly 200 stations.
His TV experience includes his own syndicated program Smash Hits Top 10 Countdown seen in over 100 markets 1989 to 1993, and he was selected as one of the original VH1 VeeJays in 1984. Scott has also been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Maury Povich Show, Entertainment Tonight, and 20/20.
